Booking

Vehicle Group : Although Omega Hellas has a wide variety of vehicles in  vehicle park, specific brands, models or specific fuel cannot be guaranteed. Vehicle images placed on the web and in your voucher are examples only and may be substituted by any other vehicle within the group similar to the one you have booked.

In case of damage or accident we will provide you with a similar vehicle within the group you booked or, in case  no similar vehicles are available within the group, we will provide you with a vehicle of superior group (except cases when you are liable for any damage or accident as the result of breach of the Omega Hellas terms and conditions of the rental agreement).

Driver

Renters and drivers must comply with all our standard qualifications including those relating to age, driving license and credit.

All drivers must fulfill our minimal age requirements, meaning 23 years old and more and have held a clean drivers license for at least a year  for driving the Omega Hellas vehicles. Omega Hellas allows driving the luxury or large vehicles of its fleet, meaning categories E + only to drivers of 26 years old and more.

Only drivers named on the rental agreement are authorized to drive the rental vehicle.

Supplement for Young Drivers

Young Driver Fee. Young drivers of 20-23 years old are accepted by Omega Hellas since the corresponding fee of 6 euros/day  and a maximum charge of 40euros/rental agreement is applied to cover higher insurance cost for this category of drivers.

Additional Drivers

Additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement when you collect your vehicle. Omega Hellas allows 1^st additional driver free from charge. In case of more additional drivers, as with your own vehicle insurance policy, additional driver insurance has higher fee, so there will be a charge of Additional Driver Fee of 2euros/rental day.

Documents Required

At the rental counter you will need to present your Europian I.D card or  passport or ID (with Roman script) as a proof of identity, plus  a valid  national driver’s license held for at least 1 year. Citizens other than the E.E. should also present a valid international driver’s license along with the one issued at their country.

Fees and Charges

Payment

You must present a valid credit card, that must be in your name. All major credit cards are accepted (e.g. VISA / MASTERCARD / AMEX), even if the rental is paid in cash. The whole rental amount is prepaid at the time of pick up the car.

(* ) VISA, MasterCard and American Express are accepted.
(**) Electron cards or those with the words “electronic use only” are not accepted, as well as debit cards.

Deposit

At the time you pick up your rental car, you must present as guarantee up to the amount  that covers the excess applicable to the partial Collision Damage Waiver. This amount must be paid with a credit card issued in the name of the main driver.

Fines and Penalties

You are responsible for paying the penalty for circulation, improper parking, or other penalties you may have incurred during the rental. Relevant charges will be passed on to the customer, along with administrative expenses, as follows:

– Administrative expenses for fines. 30  €

Fees

The basic rental rate is for a minimum of one day’s rent (the period of 24 hours from the start time of rental) and includes a fee for:
– Unlimited-Mileage.
– Road  assistance 24 hours.
– Collision damage waiver (C.D.W).
-All local taxes and supplements.

Taxation

The rent is subject to local taxes. All our rates include VAT.

Cancellation / No show / Changes

CANCELLATIONS

You can cancel a reservation you maid through our website or via e-mail 48  hours before the settled time picking up the car. To do so, the only acceptable way is an e-mail referring the booking code.

As soon as the cancelation is made known this way to Omega Hellas within the foresaid period of time there is no charge and Omega Hellas refunds the whole amount you might have paid . In any other case no refund is allowed.

CHANGES IN BOOKINGS

You can change your booking via e-mail up to 1 day before pick up so as to make sure a vehicle is available for the place and date requested.

CHANGES WHEN PICKING UP

If at the time of pickup of the vehicle you wish to rent a larger vehicle or hire a product for a longer period, you may do so, subject to availability, with the payment of additional charges.

DELIVER/RETURN NOT IN STATION

Deliver/Return after request. Deliver/Return vehicle within working hours to hotel or other location within the centre of Athens is free of charge, except train or bus stations for which there is a charge of 10 euros.

Airport :

Within the office working hours the charge is 20 euros.

After working hours charge of 25 euros.

Piraeus Port :

Within the office working hours the charge is 20 euros.

After working hours charge of 25 euros

Rafina Port :

Within the office working hours the charge is 20 euros.

After working hours charge of 25 euros

Please note that for any deliver at any port or at the airport it is obligatory you have previously communicated to us, as for the airport, your flight number and the exact arrival time and as for the port, the name of the ship, the gate number it approaches and where it comes from.

DELIVER/RETURN ELSEWHERE THAN DOWNTOWN ATHENS

Deliver/Return anywhere but downtown is charged complying with Omega Hellas price list with a minimum charge of 5 euros up to a maximum of 50 euros depending on the mileage.

Mileage. The rental agreement if for free mileage since the very first day.

RENTAL NOT DONE

α) Prepaid bookings
The vehicle will be booked and available to you. In case you don´t pick it up an hour after the time and date set by you, or in the case of rentals at the airport  1 hour after the scheduled arrival time of your flight (only in case you have communicated your flight number), Omega Hellas  reserves the right to mark reservation as NO SHOW and has no obligations to keep reserved car or refund any amount.

b) Not prepaid bookings
The vehicle will be booked and available to you. In case you don´t pick it up an hour after the time and date set by you, or in the case of rentals at the airport 1 hour after the scheduled arrival time of your flight (only in case you have communicated your flight number), Omega Hellas reserves the right to mark reservation as NO SHOW and has no obligations to keep reserved car.

Instructions for return

You must return the rental vehicle during normal operatin hours of rental station.
If you return the vehicle outside business hours, you must comply with our instructions for returning out of working hours and you will remain fully responsible for the vehicle till the rental station opens. In case you fail to follow these instructions you will remain responsible for the vehicle until we can have access to it.

EARLY RETURN

Please note that we cannot give you a refund if you return the vehicle before the date and time specified in your rental agreement.

Late Return Fee

Our rental rates are calculated based on 24-hour periods from the beginning of the rental. Failure to return the vehicle at the point of return or pick up location agreed at the time indicated on your rental contract, you will be charged an extra day rental to the current daily rate (including fees for contracted options) by each day or portion of each day of delay in return of the vehicle. This fee is subject to an additional period of time (or “grace period”) of 1 and a half (1 ½) hours.

Fuel Policy

The vehicle should return with the same fuel amount as delivered, as it shows on your rental agreement and is never less than 1 /4 tank. In case you return the vehicle with more fuel Omega Hellas has no obligation of refunding any amount. In case you return the vehicle with less fuel you should pay for the amount missing.

Additional charges may include :

– Personal Insurance (P.A.I.)
– Fuel Charges
– Super Coverage
– Supplement for young driver
– Child Seats and other extras
– Loss of or damage to the vehicle
– Late return fee
– Additional driver fee
– Extra cleaning fee
– Tolls or charges or fines resulting from traffic violations or improper parking during the rental period

Driving abroad

Only available under the following conditions:

• Reservation on request and only for groups up to E group.
• With the written permission of Omega Hellas and not by only reservation
• Payment only by credit card
• The renter must be holder of either American Express or Diners Club
• The renter must return the car to Greece.

Note that Omega Hellas needs 3 working days minimum to get the green card and theft protection insurance. The cost for that is 130 euros plus V.A.T for the car groups up to group D and 150 plus V.A.T for group E. For an MPV or mini carriers the cost is of 230 euros plus V.A.T.

Cross border rental is forbidden for any 8seats+ carrier vehicle.

Note that in case the Omega Hellas vehicle has any break down during being abroad Omega Hellas is not responsible by any means for the replacement of this vehicle by another.

Authorization is also required for moving the car by ship in Greece.

Long Term Rental

The rental agreement is renewed every 30 days.
